SARD DAMPER is installed in the front and rear parts of the cabin where the body twists significantly, suppressing unpleasant vibrations and roll overshoot. It achieves both improved steering response and high-quality ride comfort. The components incorporate dampers with a damping mechanism, which improves steering operability and suppresses minute vibrations that can be felt by humans. The friction damper, which combines Aisin’s unique mechanical structure of a disc spring + friction plate, is effective even when the extension stroke speed is low, so it improves steering response and better settles the roll angle compared to oil-type dampers.
